Eduarda Pilar (Navarette) Valdez passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2023, at St. David’s Hospital in Georgetown at the age of 100, surrounded by her loving and devoted family by her side.
Known as Pila by her family and friends, she was born on October 12, 1922, to Seferino Navarette and Lorenza Rodriguez Gochicoa in Pecos, Texas.
Pila is survived by her two daughters, Linda Valdez and Florinda Medina; her six grandchildren, Debra Blanco, Diane Pina (husband Joe), Gail Gentry (husband Trya), Victor (wife Carson), Annette Perez (husband Julian), and Jackie (husband Alonzo); her ten great-grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Josh, Victor, Liam, Ty, Abigail, Joe, Jewels, and Mercedes; and her six great-great-grandchildren, Penelope, Geneva, Jalysa, Kamron, Shyanne, and Keanu.
