Children enjoyed the San Jose Park splash pad on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. With temperatures climbing into the 90s, families found heat relief at area parks and splash pads.Georgetown’s splash pads opened for the season on April 1. The splash pads are open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Senior Living residents fished for 600 pounds of Channel Catfish during the two-day event which continued on Friday.  Residents and staff were treated to a fish fry to celebrate the event.  The fish were provided by Larry’s Fish Farm in Giddings.   Photo by Andy Sharp.

Gone fishing!

The 23rd Annual SPJST Senior Living Fishing Tournament took place Thursday, May 7, 2026. Senior Living residents fished for 600 pounds of Channel Catfish during the two-day event, which continued on Friday.  Residents and staff were treated to a fish fry to celebrate the event.

Dream Flights honor vets with a ride in 1940s two-seater

Clouds and light rain didn’t ruin the day for veterans from Touchmark at Georgetown Wednesday, who were honored for their service through a Dream Flight in a refurbished 1943 open-air two-seater plane called the Spirit of Texas.

The Spring Art Stroll, hosted by the City of Georgetown’s Arts and Culture Program, was help last Friday, April 17, around the Square.

River water rises with recent rain in Williamson County

A rainy week led to localized flooding across Williamson County April 21. A Flash Flood Warning was in effect until the evening.
