Southwestern students move into Jessie Daniel Ames Hall

Southwestern University students moved into Jessie Daniel Ames Hall on Saturday, August 15, 2026, during freshmen move-in day. Jessie Daniel Ames Hall opened to students in January.  Approximately 1,400 students will begin their classes at the university on August 24.

Berry Springs Park & Preserve's resident donkeys, Pedro and  Lil Bob, spend time together Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The Friends of Berry Springs nonprofit group is raising funds to help with the donkeys' healthcare needs.  Lil Bob has arthritis and his medicine is costly.

Playtime: 42nd Street shines with energetic performances and Broadway flair

42nd Street opened July 24 on the Palace Springer Stage. The big production includes spectacular sets, advanced lighting, custom costumes and soaring scores. Large group numbers feature show-stopping choreography that fills the stage.
