Pam Crockett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on March 27 at her home in Georgetown, Texas.  Born on September 15, 1943, in Texarkana, Texas, Pam was the daughter of Marilyn Cathey Henley and Arthur Lee Henley.

Pam graduated with honors from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas, in 1961, where she excelled as the editor of the Aegis (school newspaper) and demonstrated her musical talents in the school band. Pam continued her academic pursuits at South Texas Junior College.

In 1962, Pam married her husband, Jack Crockett, in Houston, Texas. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with the joys and challenges of raising a family.  Over the years, Pam and Jack went on numerous road trips to the mountains, where they enjoyed hiking and camping. They cherished the time spent exploring the great outdoors and creating lasting memories with their growing family.

Pam’s professional journey was characterized by her unparalleled work ethic. She left an impression on all those she encountered through her commitment to excellence and integrity. Under the mentorship of Charles W. Johnson, CPA, Pam developed her skills and earned the title of his trusted “Girl Friday.” Her tenure at W. S. Farish and Company in Houston deepened her passion for horses, while her role as an assistant to Jeanie Kilroy afforded her opportunities to travel and broaden her horizons. 

In addition to her professional endeavors, Pam dedicated over 50 years to Beta Sigma Phi, where she served as President of her local chapter and later as President of the Beta Sigma Phi Houston City Council in 2012. Pam’s commitment to the organization earned her the title of Sweetheart, Torchbearer Tau Laureate, and The Order of the Rose.

Pam co-owned a ranch in Harwood, Texas, alongside her husband Jack, brother Arthur, and his wife Marilyn. The Silver Belle Ranch held a special place in Pam’s heart. It served as a haven of happiness and family bonding, where Pam’s love for the outdoors and her family intertwined seamlessly.

Pam’s kindness, generosity and incredible spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Pam is survived by her loving husband, Jack Crockett, her daughters Penny and Wendy, and her granddaughters Mackenzie, Avery and Piper.

Pam’s memory will forever be held dear by her brother, Arthur Henley, and sisters, Donna Provence and Arleigh Kay Henley as well as Clysta Henley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn Cathey Henley and Arthur Lee Henley, her son Cameron and her brother, Mike Henley. Pam also served as godmother to nephew, David Henley.

A memorial service honoring Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13 at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Methodist Children’s Home in Pam’s honor.  1111 Herring Avenue, Waco, Texas, 76708
