Construction

Advertisement and Invitation for Bids

The City of Florence will receive bids for 2021/2022 TxCDBG Contract No. CDV21-0049 Water Line Improvements until 4:00 P.M. local time on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at City of Florence, 106 South Patterson P.O. BOX 430, Florence, TX 76527. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.

Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:

Approximately 2,000 Linear Feet of 6” PVC C-900 Water Line including gate valves, assemblies, tie-into existing 2” & 6” water lines, fittings, and miscellaneous work tasks.

Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at City Hall and Hejl, Lee & Associates, Inc., 206 Taylor Street, Hutto, Texas 78634.

Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained by paying $100 to the Engineer for each set of documents obtained. The payment is non-refundable. Electronic copy of the project documents is available free of charge. Bidder will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issue.

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Florence or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
