INVITATION TO BIDDERS

This Invitation for Bids is for the construction of Bar W Ranch West, Phase 10. The work generally consists of Streets, Drainage, Water, Wastewater, Grading, Dry Utilities and Erosion Control Improvements. Sealed Bids should be addressed to Continental Homes of Texas, L.P., on behalf of Leander Municipal Utility District No. 1 (the “District”). Bids will be received via email to Lee Whited, P.E. (Lee@cbdeng.com), Chuck Corbett, (ccorbett@cbdeng.com), and Rob Leines, (rleines@cbdeng.com), or hand delivered at Carlson, Brigance & Doering, Inc. (CBD, Inc.), 5701 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas 78749, until 12:00 p.m. CST, Friday, May 26th, 2023, for a public bid opening where proposals will be opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. CST. Any Proposals received after the closing time will be unopened. In addition to submitted hard copy bids, a thumb drive containing electronic bid documents and Excel pricing spreadsheet is required.

An Optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, CBD Inc., 3rd Floor Conference Room, 5701 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas 78749. The Pre-Qualification Statement included in the proposal packet and as required by Leander Municipal Utility District No. 1 shall be completed in its entirety and submitted as part of the proposal. Any proposal lacking the Pre-Qualification Statement will not be considered.

Bid documents for this project will be available for purchase from the office of the Project Engineer-CBD, Inc. A non-refundable purchase fee of $125 will be charged. The documents will contain CAD files, pdf set of plans and bid documents. Make checks payable and mail to Carlson, Brigance and Doering, Inc. Only those with checks received will have their bids considered.

All questions, clarifications, requests must be received in writing via email to Lee Whited, P.E. lee@cbdeng.com and Chuck Corbett, ccorbett@cbdeng.com no later than noon, Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Any requests received after that time and date will not be addressed.

A Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to Continental Homes of Texas, L.P., on behalf of Leander Municipal Utility District No. 1, in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will within 10 days of the award of the contract, enter into a contract and furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. The Bidder’s surety will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within 10 days after awarding the contract.

Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owner’s judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project.

A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of 10% of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of one years from the date of the letter of final acceptance from the City of Leander and Williamson County and the Leander Municipal Utility District No. 1.

Prevailing Wage Rates, in accordance with Government Code 2258 are applicable to this project.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed Bids addressed to HM PARKSIDE DEVELOPMENT, INC, on behalf of WILLIAMSON COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 25, attention Mr. Blake Magee, will be received at the office of the ENGINEER, HR Green Development TX, LLC (“HR Green”), 5508 Highway 290 West, Suite 150, Austin, Texas 78735, until 11:00 a.m. Local Time, June 8, 2023, and then publicly opened and read for “PARKSIDE ON THE RIVER PHASE 3 SECTIONS 6A & 6B For WILLIAMSON COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 25, WILLIAMSON County, Texas”.

Scope of Work of the Contract includes furnishing, installing, and providing all labor and materials required for construction of the water, wastewater, drainage, street excavation, paving, erosion control and miscellaneous items as more fully described in the Drawings and Specifications.
