E State Highway 29 Widening

Sealed proposals, in duplicate, addressed to, WBW Single Development Group, LLC - Series 103 ON BEHALF OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY MUD NO. 16, for the construction of Williamson County MUD No. 16 – E State Highway 29 Widening in Williamson County, Texas, will be received at the office of Yalgo Engineering, LLC, 109 W 2nd St. Ste. 201 Georgetown, Texas UNTIL 2:00 PM ON THE DATE OF OCTOBER 9, 2023 at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. No faxed bids will be accepted. Any proposals received after the closing time will be returned unopened. A Cashier's Check or Certified Check upon a national or state bank or Bid Bond payable to WBW Single Development Group, LLC - Series 103 in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid (Bidder's Check or Bid Bond), must accompany the bid proposals as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will within ten (10) days of the award of the contract, enter into a contract and furnish an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Bidder's Check or Bid Bond will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within ten (10) days after award of the contract. The notice of award of a contract shall be given by the Owner within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Bidder's Check or Bid Bond must be enclosed in the same envelope as the bid. Bids without a Bidder's Check or Bid Bond will not be considered. No proposals shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of the bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive all formalities in the bidding process. This Invitation for Bids is for the construction of Bar W Ranch West, Phase One, Lift Station (LS-25) Pumps. The work generally consists of Installation of Two Lift Station Pumps. Sealed Bids should be addressed to Continental Homes of Texas, L.P., on behalf of Leander Municipal Utility District No. 3 (the “District”) and the City of Leander. Bid documents for this project will be available for purchase from the office of the Project Engineer-CBD, Inc. A non-refundable purchase fee of $125 will be charged. Only those bidders with checks received will have their bids considered.

All questions, clarifications, requests must be received in writing via email to Lee Whited, P.E., lee@cbdeng.com and Chuck Corbett, ccorbett@cbdeng.com no later than 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 16th, 2023. Any requests received after that time and date will not be addressed.

A Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to Continental Homes of Texas, L.P. on behalf of Leander Municipal Utility District No. 3 and the City of Leander in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will within 10 days of award enter into a contract and furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. The Bidder’s surety will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within 10 days after awarding the contract.

Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owner’s judgment will be most advantageous to the District and City of Leander, and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project.

A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of 10% of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of two years from the date of the letter of final acceptance from the City of Leander and Leander Municipal Utility District No. 3.

Prevailing Wage Rates, in accordance with Government Code 2258, are applicable to this project.
