Classical Sound presents free concerts, ‘Double Bass Extravaganza’

Classical Sound will present free Double Bass Extravaganza performances October 15 and 16, with the latter taking place in Georgetown.

The program features Schubert’s “The Trout Quintet” and Mendelssohn’s “Piano Sextet in D Minor.”

Performing are Toby Blumenthal, piano; Stephanie Sant’Amrosio, violin; Blake Turner and Bruce Williams, viola; Douglas Harvey, cello; and Jonathan Rouse, double bass.

The October 15 show is set for 4p.m., at KMFA 89.5 FM Radio’s Draylen Mason Music Studio, 41 Navasota Street, Austin.

The Georgetown concert October 16 will be at 4 p.m. at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, 5404 Williams Drive.

Classical Sound presents live, small ensemble concerts of classical and pop music at venues throughout Williamson County and Central Texas.
