A senior special ahead of Respect for the Aged Day

Respect for the Aged Day is a public holiday in Japan that honors elderly citizens. Old Folks' Day started after World War II. The idea became a national Japanese holiday in 1966. Since 2003, it has been celebrated on the third Monday of September to create a special three-day weekend for older individuals.
