St. John’s UMC sets‘Come Home for Christmas Celebration’
St. John’s United Methodist Church has canceled its annual Harvest Fest this year, but will host its Come Home for Christmas Celebration from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. November 19.
The event is held in the church’s Family Life Center, 311 East University Avenue.
Frozen casseroles of King Ranch Chicken and Spaghetti Chicken will be available for purchase, as well as Harvest Fest Cornbread Dressing. In addition, there will be a bake sale, craft sale and silent auction.
St. John’s Youth Ministry will host a Youth Café with coffee, iced tea and pastries available for purchase.
“We are truly saddened to have to cancel Harvest Fest, an annual event for the community. We know that many people in Georgetown and the surrounding communities look forward to this each year,” Spokesperson Michelle Cousineau said. The festival had been scheduled for October 1.
