On November 11, we honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces, both living and deceased.Veterans Day’s origins lie in “Armistice Day,” which commemorated the end of World War I on November 11, 1918.

Out and About: Georgetown celebrates Day of the Dead

Día de los Muertos originated in Mexico but was celebrated locally with beautiful symbols, traditions and imagery in the remembrance of loved ones.The joyful three-day holiday starts October 31 with the Day of the Little Angels when spirits of deceased children visit their families.

Tastes of the Town: Soup makes everything better
