Texas Music Scene calls him a vibrant force in the world of classic Texas country hailing from Jayton. With his unique blend of red dirt influences and heartfelt storytelling, he captures the spirit of Americana while paying homage to legends like Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings.
Experiences from childhood to college provided the building blocks for this singer/songwriter. As a kid, he and his oil-field dad listened to their favorite musicians like Robert Earl Keen and Chris Knight. His mom, a writing teacher, led him to compete at the UIL State Championship in the categories of Feature Writing and Story Writing. When Coulter turned 16, his parents gifted him with an old Fender acoustic guitar for Christmas.
He had a few gigs at Texas Tech University while earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His roommate was Grant Gilbert’s brother, who taught him about the music industry.
