Way Off Broadway Community Players opens circus melodrama this month
It’s almost lights up for the Way Off Broadway Community Players’ production of The Man in the Locket, a circus-themed melodrama by playwright Kris Thompson.
Showings begin at 7 p.m. on October 14, 15, 21 and 22 at the Leander Activity Center, 11880 West Hero Way, Suite 600. Sunday matinees are scheduled for 3 p.m. on October 16 and 23.
Set in the early 1900s, The Man in the Locket follows the story of a young girl as she joins the Bergstrom Circus and attempts to find both true love and her long-lost biological father. The production is directed by Lou Russell and Bethany Watkin, and stage managed by Bri Gonzalez.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online at www.wobcp.org.
The Way Off Broadway Community Players is a nonprofit theater organization based in Leander. The group is dedicated to providing quality productions and education opportunities to communities in Leander and its surrounding areas.
