Good Neighbors GTX hosts back-to-school shoe fundraiser

With back to school around the corner, kids need new clothes, supplies, backpacks and what is often overlooked — shoes. For the second year in a row, nonprofit Good Neighbors GTX is raising money to provide students $50 gift cards to Rack Room Shoes.

Art Scapes: Art Hop 2026 open for entries

Hill Country Art Focus is accepting artwork entries for Art Hop 2026 until August 15. Art Hop is open to Texas artists age 16 and older in 2D representational and abstract, 3D representational and abstract, photography and digital art.

Playtime: 42nd Street shines with energetic performances and Broadway flair

42nd Street opened July 24 on the Palace Springer Stage. The big production includes spectacular sets, advanced lighting, custom costumes and soaring scores. Large group numbers feature show-stopping choreography that fills the stage.

Bibliofiles: Library announced Sculptors Show winners

There are 72 sculptures throughout the Georgetown Public Library which are part of the 18th-annual Texas Society of Sculptors Summer Show.Earlier this summer, visitors to the Library had the chance to vote for their favorite piece, and we thank everyone who participated.

The genius of Chihuly has arrived in Round Rock

The “Ruby Sunstone Pineapple,” created by world-renowned glass sculptor Dale Chihuly, has arrived, been installed and is ready for public viewing at the City Arts Center in downtown Round Rock at 216 East Main Street.
