Two Justice Complex listening sessions upcoming

Williamson County will host two come-and-go community feedback sessions for its Justice Complex project this coming week.  Both meetings will be held at the Williamson County EMS North Campus, 3189 SE Inner Loop in Georgetown. Meetings will be held: Saturday, August 22, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The 19-day MAMAMOO 2026 U.S. tour features members Solar (vocals), Moonbyul (rapper), Wheein (vocals) and Hwasa (rapper) on a reunion tour celebrating the group’s 12th anniversary. Local fans can catch the group at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday, August 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Randy Rogers Band, with special guests Stoney LaRue and Django Walker, will perform Saturday, August 15, at the Round Rock Amphitheater. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are required for everyone older than 2, and guests should note that chairs and outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Violet Nicklen is the featured Artist of the Month at the Williamson County Art Guild Gallery, 708 South Rock Street in Georgetown. Her eclectic original art display, which includes pastels, watercolors, acrylics, collage, oil encaustics and a woodcut print, hangs prominently in the front gallery.

Back-to-school shoppers can save money on clothes, shoes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday that begins Friday, August 7, and goes through midnight, Sunday, August 9.This will be the 28th year of Texas’ oldest sales tax holiday.

Jarrell ISD will honor its past — and celebrate its future — August 10 when the district marks its 110th birthday and cuts the ribbon of its new Paw Prints Early Childhood Center.The celebration will kick-off at 7 p.m. at JISD’s 1916 Building, 504 North 5th Street.
