It’s Tuna time again in Georgetown

The Palace Playhouse production of A Tuna Christmas debuted to a full house December 2. Ed Howard, Jaston Williams and Joe Sears created Greater Tuna and first presented it in venues around Austin in 1981.

Candlelight Wholeness Service set for this weekend

The monthly Georgetown Ecumenical Wholeness Service is 6:30 p.m., Sunday, December 11.    The candlelight service is being held in the sanctuary of San Gabriel Presbyterian Church, 5404 Williams Drive. The series on the Beatitudes continues with “those who seek virtue.

Georgetown Swirl sets masquerade theme for 2023

Don a masquerade mask for the 13th annual Georgetown Swirl in March on the Square. Tickets are now on sale for the event.  Dress up for the annual fundraising event hosted by the Georgetown Main Street Program from 5-9 p.m., March 4.

Ho’ ho’ holiday cheer planned for Georgetown’s Breakfast with Santa

Join Santa and members of the Georgetown Fire Department for the 22nd annual Breakfast with Santa. The ticketed event takes place 7:30-11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, at the Community Center, 445 East Morrow Street in San Gabriel Park.

Two Taylor parades kick off holiday season

Taylor residents and visitors gathered Saturday, December 3, to watch two holiday parades — the Taylor Christmas Lights Parade hosted annually by the Taylor Area Ministerial Alliance and the city’s inaugural Very Merry Holiday Parade.

Celebrating the pecan with two Williamson County food shows

Pecan lovers can rejoice this month with two opportunities to enjoy and show off their crops.  All county residents with a pecan tree are welcome to participate in the 2022 Williamson-Bell County Pecan Show on December 13 and the Williamson County Pecan Food Show on December 15.

New Tai Chi class, demonstration this weekend in Georgtown

The Georgetown branch of Taoist Tai Chi is inviting new students to their class beginning January 9. A live demonstration will take place this weekend on December 10 for anyone interested to see the students in action and learn more.

East View stage performances Through December 3 The Georgetown High School Show Choir will present its annual production of A Holiday to Remember at The Klett Center for the Performing Arts. The show will run December 1-3, beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.

Holiday Meals Delivered again serving community

A yearly Christmas tradition will deliver meals to people in need on December 25. Holiday Meals Delivered has been bringing a hot Christmas morning meal to area families for 23 years. The effort is headed up by Beth Jenkins, owner of Pilot’s Choice in Georgetown.
