Art Scapes: 17th annual Sun City Photo Club winners announced

The 17th Annual Sun City Photo competition garnered 122 submissions in a variety of subject categories. These contest photos are on display until December 27 in the Activity Center, 1 Texas Drive.

Have a sweet time at the Christmas Stroll

This weekend, downtown Georgetown will turn into a winter wonderland with the 44th annual Christmas Stroll. This year’s stroll — which takes place Friday, December 5 to Sunday, December 7 — is Candyland themed.

Playtime: Enjoy Dashing Through the Snow at the Palace Playhouse

A holiday-themed production, Dashing Through The Snow, opened at the Palace Playhouse November 28.The script is written by American playwrights Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.

Art Scapes: Wilco Art Guild holiday party and reception up ahead

The Williamson County Art Guild artist reception and holiday party is 5-7 p.m., December 5, at 708 South Rock Street, one block off the Georgetown Square. The event coincides with First Friday activities in downtown Georgetown.

Enjoy Disney’s ‘Frozen’ this winter on the Palace stage

The Georgetown Palace Theatre opened Disney’s Frozen November 21 on the historic Springer stage under the direction of Dr. Kristen Rogers.“For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm,” Palace promotions state.

Winter event guide: Holiday fun is around the corner

Thanksgiving this Thursday, November 27, kicks off the holiday season, and the Georgetown area has a plethora of winter activities scheduled for the next month for adults and children alike.

One more opportunity to give in 2025

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that takes place the Tuesday immediately after Thanksgiving. The effort serves as many nonprofit organization’s last push to raise funds for the year, and one last time to make a tax-deductible donation before the year’s end.
