Corrections director gets promoted to Texas council

Jameson Pennington, Williamson County Community Supervision and Corrections Department for Adult Probation director, was elected to serve on the Probation Advisory Council of Texas.     “I’m honored to be elected to this position and look forward to serving our region,” he said in a statement.

Williamson County remembers loved ones during holiday season

The Williamson County Commissioners Court will recognize December 5 as Tree of Angels Day this year. Commissioners approved the recognition during a meeting Tuesday, November 21.

Local leader runs for mayor

Florence resident Ben Daniel announced Tuesday night at Dwell Coffee and Tap that he will run as Mayor for the City of Florence in the May 2024 Election.    Raised near Florence, Mr. Daniel has a bachelor’s of science in professional development and has worked for 15 years in business.

Williamson County exits agreement with United Way

In a special eight-minute-long meeting on Monday, November 13, the Williamson County Commissioner’s Court unanimously approved the termination of an agreement to manage federal ARPA funds for Breast Cancer screening provided through United Way of Greater Austin.
