Two Georgetown nonprofits combine laundry services

Laundry Love Georgetown is now working with The Caring Place to provide residents with its free laundry cleanings. Laundry Love Georgetown has offered free laundry services since 2013 at the Georgetown Washtopia on South Austin Avenue on the second Tuesday and Thursday of each month.

H-E-B anchors new $12 million shopping center west of Sun City

The most recent Georgetown-based filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation are related to new mixed-use retail developments, sidewalk improvements and installations and a new therapy office.

Ballot talks continue as November election approaches

Williamson County will be moving to pre-numbered paper ballots this November election, but some county residents continue to advocate that a voting system involving hand-marked, hand-counted, paper-ballots at a precinct-level would be the safest option for a secure election.

Second West Nile mosquito found at Pinnacle Park

Another mosquito trap near Pinnacle Park in southeast Georgetown returned a positive result on July 3 for West Nile virus.

Georgetown pageant Queen spreads awareness of sober living

Tessa Smith serves as a Georgetown Realtor in her day job, but holds the title of Mrs. Georgetown on the pageant circuit. In March, she was crowned as a pageant Queen by Texas International Pageant. Ms. Smith holds the 2024 Mrs.

Sugar Mommy’s Bakehouse

Sugar Mommy’s Bakehouse is based out of a blue cottage on South Austin Avenue. With a pink door and carousel-like animal statues, the bakery looks like the board game Candy Land. Inside, customers  find display coolers full of elaborately decorated cupcakes, cake pops, desert bars and cookies.
