Williamson County opens Emergency Operations Center

Williamson County Office of Emergency Management has opened the county’s Emergency Operations Center in response to the Winter Weather Advisory and possible icy conditions in the county early this week.

Georgetown opens warming center to provide shelter during low overnight temps

The Madella Hilliard Neighborhood Center, located at 803 West Eighth Street, Georgetown, opened as a warming center  for people needing shelter Sunday, January 14, as temperatures dipped under 20 degrees.

Georgetown pursues book locker program, grant application

A new book locker funded by the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library could be coming to the Carver Center for Families. The locker would allow someone to check an item out online through the Georgetown Public Library.

Hill County Author Series hosts meeting in February

The Hill Country Authors Series returns in February with award-winning Austin author, Sarah Bird, to discuss her latest novel, Last Dance on the Starlight Pier, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, at the Georgetown Public Library.
