Williamson County Animal Shelter hosts annual foster program

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will offer its annual Home for the Holidays fostering program this year.
As a part of the Home for the Holidays foster program, residents can pick out any medium or large dog as a foster pet through the holiday season.

ROCK volunteer receives recognition for service

Erik Stoeckle was awarded as a RecognizeGood Legend for his volunteer work with Ride On Center for Kids on November 14.
Nominated by ROCK’s Volunteer Coordinator Susy Turnbull, Mr. Stoeckle has volunteered at ROCK for 15 years, giving 18,000 hours of service to the organization.

Georgetown medians, roadway signs get a facelift

Garey Park to see new amphitheater, disc golf course

Changes are coming to Garey Park, which will add an amphitheater, group cabins, mountain bike trails and a disc golf course to the West Georgetown property.

Williamson County EMS educates residents about opioids

6-year-old dies of injuries 3 months after assault

Jeremy Tang Diaz, a 6-year-old Georgetown resident who was beaten inside his Teravista home with a baseball bat on September 11, died on Tuesday, November 14, as a result of his injuries.
The alleged attacker was Daniel Steven Logan, one of Jeremy’s neighbors. He was arrested on September 11.

Riverbank cleanup coming to Rivery Park

The City of Georgetown will host a riverbank cleanup event in Rivery Park on December 9.
Volunteers can check in for the event beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the city table near the playground, which is located in the middle of the park.
A safety briefing will happen at 8:55 a.m.
