Parks and Recreation to host skatepark workshop

Georgetown’s Parks and Recreation Department is having its second design workshop for the new skatepark and pump track that will become a feature in Garey Park.
The workshop will be held over Zoom at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 7.

Health district workers detect West Nile virus mosquito in Bartlett, Georgetown

A mosquito sample tested positive Tuesday, August 29, for West Nile Virus at Mt. Aratat Community Park in Bartlett. The positive samples were collected from trap sites.

Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Bazaar

The Annual Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Parish Bazaar was held on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Attendees were able to get to-go plates in a line formed outside the parish hall, or could dine inside. The plates included brisket, sausage, dressing, green beans, potatoes, slaw and peaches.

Tax rate, budget of $560 million for Wilco residents

The Williamson County Commissioners Court unanimously approved the county budget and tax rate for the 2024 fiscal year.
The budget is priced at $560,109,974 with a tax rate of 37.9282 cents per 100 valuation, which is a 7.74 percent increase.
