Windsong Farm rider Jaycee Ferguson becomes Texas state champ

Charging through events at the Texas High School Rodeo State Finals, Jaycee Ferguson, a rider from Georgetown’s Windsong Farm, recently took home Texas State Championship honors in pole bending. The competition was held June 1-10 in Abilene.

German bakery TexBrötchen accepts online orders

TexBrötchen began as a cottage bakery in 2020 when owner H.L. Fahnestock started baking and selling his product online.  The German bakery has become popular since partnering with Rentsch Brewery May 14. Since, Mr.
Laura Morgan, with Georgetown PFLAG, was equipped with a hand fan and an electric fan as she stayed cool. The Georgetown PFLAG chapter, established in 2022, was here to answer questions and inform visitors during Pride Month.

Market Days Heats Up in Georgetown

Temperatures were climbing well into the 90s by early-afternoon, with highs expected in the triple digits during Market Days on Saturday, June 10.

At Georgetown ISD's Richarte High  School, 82 graduates received their diplomas Thursday, May 25. With others completing their course work this summer, the high school class will have 112 total graduates.

Art Scapes: Charlie Favret’s art featured at Papi’s Pies

Charlie Favret is president of the Round Rock Arts organization and is the latest solo artist exhibiting at Papi’s Pies in Round Rock. “The Beauty Within” is his collection of 20 abstract macro pieces in creative arrangements. “This solo exhibition is very special to me,” he said.

The Caring Place expands donation hours

The Caring Place will be offering expanded hours going into summer for its donations drive through, located at 2000 Railroad Avenue. Drop off will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday to match the nonprofit’s thrift store hours.
