R Bank finds new home in downtown Georgetown

The Georgetown location of R Bank is relocating, moving from its space on Williams Drive to a new building at 405 Austin Avenue, across the street from Monument Cafe.   The new space is larger than the bank’s previous.  “We’d outgrown that building,” R Bank CEO Steve Stapp said.

Georgetown updates residents on water restrictions

The City of Georgetown further explained its decision to enact Stage 2 and Stage 3 water restrictions across the city and the stability of the city’s water system during a Tuesday, July 25, news conference.

Williamson County Commissioners Court discussed new bond election ethics and issues stemming from new laws passed by the Texas Legislature.    Public Finance Lawyer Carol D. Polumbo provided the updated during a special court session July 25.   Election code 255.

Commissioners discuss Fiscal Year 2024 pay for county employees

Williamson County Senior Director of Human Resources Rebecca Clemons gave multiple presentations July 25 to commissioner’s court about updates to the county employee policy manual, compensation and other items involving county employees. If approved, policies will go into effect on October 1.

City council continues partnership discussion with YMCA

More details were shared Tuesday, July 25, about a future partnership between the city of Georgetown and the YMCA of Central Texas.

Georgetown Arts and Culture Board gives over $14,000 in grants

The Georgetown Board of Arts and Culture approved $14,944 in grants for local arts and culture organizations. The organizations highlighted help fund local arts and culture programming. The funding is provided for projects taking place between October 1 and March 31, 2024.
