New Habitat for Humanity development brings 12 new homes

Georgetown City Council approved a build permit March 6 for a new 1-acre development that will include 12 new homes built by Williamson County Habitat for Humanity. The Shepherd’s Village development will be located in Southeast Georgetown between 21st and 22nd streets.

Williamson County greenlights spaceport liftoff

Following Firefly Aerospace’s successful lunar landing, Williamson County is working toward creating a new spaceport development corporation board to “provide fiscal guidance and ongoing governance” of spaceport operations in Williamson and Burnet counties.

County officials adopt new subdivision regulations

Real estate developers have to follow new regulations passed on March 4 by the Williamson County Commissioners Court.

Rise Up Chiropractic opens in Georgetown

Georgetown Chiropractor Shanna Jackson has opened a new clinic, Rise Up Chiropractic, just north of Westinghouse Road at 2951 Farm to Market Road 1460, Ste. 1402.

Georgetown residence subject of bomb threat

At about 11:30 a.m. on March 5, the Georgetown Police Department responded to a bomb threat in the 100 block of Retreat Place, which is near the International Order of Odd Fellows cemetery. By 12:01 p.m. the scene had been cleared of any threats and the area was reopened to the public.
