Georgetown association maintains Black history, brings people together

In the 1970s, a group of volunteers came together as the The Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association to take care of the Afro-American Citizens Memorial Garden Cemetery on Memorial Drive.

Williamson County celebrates, partners with orgs to better community

Hope, empowerment, prevention: Williamson County grows Juvenile Justice Center

Expansions to library services include high future costs

As library demands increase, Georgetown City Council will look at book lockers, library micro-branches and expanding its downtown facility to serve the growing population.

Williamson County gains new fire marshal

 Mike Lugo is named Williamson County’s new Fire Marshal. He was sworn in on Tuesday, January 28, during the regular session of commissioners court. Commissioners approved Lugo’s appointment to a two-year term.

Sign up for spring, summer camps

Georgetown’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting spring break or summer programs, and registration opens at 8 a.m. Monday, February 3, for residents and nonresidents. Summer camp registration will not open until March. Register online at https://georgetowntexas.gov/parks/programs/camps.

Mayor addresses growth demands, rising costs

Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder spoke to the business community January 23 about the state of the city and Georgetown’s goals heading into 2025. As part of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly luncheon, the address was hosted by moderator Bryan Mays from TV station KVUE. Mr.
