Williamson County sees 8.47% increase in market value

Williamson County’s total market value increased by about 8.47 percent in 2025, according to the June 3 presentation from the Appraisal District. The county’s total market value at $184.69 billion for 2025, up from $170.27 billion in 2024, according to the preliminary data.

Listings up, sales down in Central Texas

In April, the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown Metropolitan Statistical Area saw an 11.5 percent increase in new home listings, according to the latest Central Texas Housing Report released by Unlock MLS.

County bakes, lakes ache

Despite the recent rain relief this month, the Brazos River Authority and Williamson County are bracing for a hot, dry summer. The Farmer’s Almanac predicted this year to be a “scorcher of a summer” with Texas having a “Hot and Dry” outlook and temperature increasing, “4 degrees above normal.
