Jarrell ISD forms district police force

Jarrell ISD trustees on Wednesday, May 17, approved the creation of a school district police force and will discontinuing use of school resource officers provided by the Jarrell Police Department. The change will take place when the 2023- 24 school year begins in August.

With a capacity of 900 students, Jarrell ISD’s new Double Creek Elementary will open with 750 students August 16. The latest demographics report presented by Zonda Education, however, predicts that the school will exceed its capacity by 2025-26.

Wilco approves animal shelter feasibility study
