Williamson County to debut suicide survivor support program

Williamson County is launching a program to support individuals and families affected by suicide.

Jail, Justice Center could move into new facilities by 2031

Williamson County is working to move the county jail and justice center operations away from downtown Georgetown by 2031. Located at 306 West Fourth Street in Georgetown, the current jail opened in 1989 and can hold more than 1,000 inmates.

Leander ISD senior is Georgetown troop’s newest Eagle Scout

Shrenik Reddy, a senior at Rouse High School, completed his Eagle Scout Board of Review at Christ Lutheran Church on December 10. He is Troop 405’s 217th Eagle Scout.Shrenik went through the Cub Scout Program and earned his Arrow of Light Award.

$8 million raised so far for flood victims

The Central Texas Community Foundation this year has already distributed about $3.35 million in direct financial support to more than 100 residents impacted by the July 5 floods.

Williamson County prosecutor enters district judge race
