Court, deputies association clash over numbers needed to protect county

The Williamson County Deputies Association spoke out against the Williamson County Commissioners Court during the Tuesday commissioners court meeting over the amount of funds the Sheriff’s Office will receive for the 2024 Fiscal Year budget.  The association claimed the department is facing a shortage of deputies and is in need of 445 new deputies to compete with the national average of deputies…
