Georgetown 14-year-old raises $1,000 for Ride on Center for Kids

Chloe’s Pet Corral has been run by Chloe Harlow since she was in third grade and had a lesson about giving back to the community. Now 14, Chloe’s Pet Corral is not only an official nonprofit, but Chloe has raised $1,000 for the Ride on Center for Kids and also donated supplies for the animals.

“My third grade teacher, Ms. Pruitt, gave us a lesson about giving back to our community. I’d always really liked animals, and so I decided to make Chloe’s Pet Corral,” Chloe said. “I wanted to start expanding where we were donating to, and I decided that ROCK would be a great fit.”

This year, in order to get the donations, Chloe partnered with the National Junior Honor Society at Cedar Valley Middle School to create a friendly competition between home rooms, rewarding top contributors with prizes like donut parties.
