Georgetown budget, tax rate set on first reading

    Georgetown will have a $842.6 million budget for the upcoming fiscal year, and will operate with a property tax rate of 36.47 cents per $100 assessed valuation. Both numbers were approved by city council on first reading Tuesday, August 27. The approved tax rate is about a 1-cent decrease from the 2024 Fiscal Year tax rate of 37.4 cents per $100 valuation.
