The Stop Reasons chart details why an officer stopped someone. Reasons listed in the chart include: violation of law, pre-existing knowledge, moving traffic violation and vehicle traffic violation. The category where officers interacted with the public the most was moving traffic violation followed by vehicle traffic violation.
