Ascension starts on health center

Ascension Seton held a groundbreaking for a new center in Georgetown Thursday.

Ascension Seton Health Center Georgetown is located in the Wolf Lakes area near the future H-E-B on University Avenue, west of Interstate 35. The center will offer outpatient specialties, surgeries and imaging services. These include outpatient and women’s imaging, general surgery, cardiovascular care, gastroenterology, orthopedics and more.

The center will also include the Georgetown Surgery Center, an outpatient surgery wing.

The 60,000-square-foot center is set to open next June.

“We are proud to expand multidisciplinary expertise in this growing community at Ascension Seton Health Center Georgetown,” said Andy Davis, president and CEO of Ascension Texas. “As we celebrate 120 years of service, Ascension Seton will continue to focus on ways to meet the healthcare needs of Central Texans and be a destination for high quality care provided by experienced specialists.”

Central Texas continues to be an area of interest for the hospital group. The group has made additions to Dell Children’s Medical Center North and Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin campus in the past year.
