Beto O’Rouke rallies Georgetown supporters at weekend event

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rouke stopped in Georgetown Saturday afternoon, where about 100 supporters were at the VFW Park to welcome him.

The visit was part of his “Weekend of Action,” a group of organized campaign events across Texas that included block walks and phone bank sessions.

Known for his road trip campaign style, he made Georgetown his third stop of the day after Fort Worth and Killeen events.

The candidate spoke to the group about the power of voter engagement and urged supporters to “unite around the popular things that Texans want to accomplish together.” — Katherine Anthony
