Census again names Georgetown fastest growing city in the country

    Georgetown has been named the fastest growing city in the country for the second year in a row. The city came out on top of the U.S. Census Bureau’s list of fastest growing communities with populations of more than 50,000.

    According to the Census data, which was released May 18, Georgetown grew at a rate of 14.4 percent from July 2021 to July 2022 and has an estimated population of 86,507.
