City council greenlights proposed food courtyard, housing developments
A site plan for an incoming outdoor food vendor location being developed at 601 South Austin Avenue. Georgetown City Council approved a special use permit for the project during a November 22 council meeting.

Council members unanimously approved a request to rezone 169-acres of land to make way for the planned East View Terrace townhome and commercial development. The property is located at the southeast corner of State highways 130 and 29.
