Georgetown receives funds for FM 971 expansion project

The City of Georgetown received $4 million in federal funding to help expand Farm to Market Road 971, a project the city has been eying for some time.
The funds come from an omnibus appropriations bill under the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee in fiscal year 2023.
