UPDATE: Start of Red Poppy Festival delayed due to weather

The start of this weekend's Red Poppy Festival on the Square has been delayed at least until later Friday evening due to the severe thunder storm that hit Georgetown at about 4:30 p.m.

Visit Georgetown, Texas, which is providing updates on Facebook, said the festival could open by 8 p.m. on a delayed schedule.
