120,000-square-foot office building comes to Leander

A four-story 120,000-square-foot project Class ‘A’ office building is set to be in Leander. In partnership with Northline and St. John Properties, the project is scheduled to break ground in spring 2024 and will be completed in the first half of 2025.

Patriot volleyball team tops Elgin, 3-0

By Reporting Intern, Alexis Billingslea     On Friday, September 8 the East View Lady Patriots topped the Elgin High Lady Wildcats with a 3-0 win. Starting the Pats’ first set strong, Ashlyn Walther scored the initial two points with back-to-back aces.

The Williamson Museum honors Sun newspaper family

The 11th annual Cattleman’s Ball swings into life at the Sun City Ballroom September 23 at 5:30 p.m. This year’s honorees are publishers Clark Thurmond and Linda Scarbrough, who own The Williamson County Sun in Georgetown — an independent newspaper owned and operated by their family since 1948.

New apartments coming to Hutto

LS Black Development is set to open 252 apartments in Hutto in late 2024. The Preserve at Mustang Creek will have one to four-bedroom layouts across eight three-story, garden-style buildings.

Closed: I-35 entrance ramp off Williams Drive

The northbound Interstate 35 entrance ramp off Williams Drive — exit 262 — has been permanently closed due to reconstruction of the important Georgetown intersection by the Texas Department of Transportation.

Central Texas Philharmonic pulls out the stops at annual fundraiser

The Central Texas Philharmonic will host its annual Crescendo fundraiser Sunday, September 17, to help generate funds for the 2023-2024 season. The fundraiser will take place at the Sheraton Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature Philharmonic musicians, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and live auction.
