The Georgetown-Sun City Rotary Club’s Breakfast with Santa made a successful comeback on Saturday, December 17.  More than 850 kids, moms and dads shared a holiday breakfast of pancakes and sausage at the Georgetown Community Center.

Brookwood in Georgetown announced earlier this week that their founder, Erin Kiltz, will be handing the reins of executive director over to longtime BiG employee Luke Ellis.  Ms.
Georgetown resident Philip Smith recently opened Stryke Tuning, a piano tuning business assisting instrument owners in Georgetown and surrounding areas. In addition to tuning pianos, Mr. Smith is the director of music and worship at First Presbyterian Church Georgetown.

Two dead in Highway 29 crash Saturday

Two people were killed Saturday, December 17, in a head-on collision on Highway 29 at Wood Ranch Road, Georgetown Police Sergeant Jason Chaudoin confirmed Monday. The crash occurred about 5 p.m. Christopher Bishop, 66, of Round Rock, and Nancy Hurd, 52, of Georgetown, were the victims of the crash.

Georgetown High School floral design pathway attracting growing number of students

No longer just flowers in a vase, the art of floral design has become a popular class for Georgetown ISD high school students, teacher Amy Beran said. She should know. She’s been the program instructor for 25 years. “This is a career pathway that’s attracting more students every year,” she said.
