Texan Cory Morrow headlines Georgetown Red Poppy Festival

Texas country singer-songwriter Cory Morrow will headline Georgetown’s 26th annual Red Poppy Festival on Saturday, April 26. The country artist is known for songs like “The Man I’ve Been,” “Texas on My Mind” and “Always and Forever.”Mr. Morrow’s performance is from 8:30-10 p.m.

Changes come to multi-family development standards

Georgetown’s standards for new multi-family developments are set to change as city council works to update the city’s Unified Development Code — which outlines building and planning standards for residents and developers.

Grants could support new sheriff equipment, trainings

Sheriff Matt Lindemann is pursuing federal grants to help fund the Sheriff’s Office’s Victim Services Unit and new body armor for deputies.

Williamson County Commissioners combine budgets for new HQ

The new Williamson County Headquarters project will cost an estimated $79.4 million, according to the Consolidated Guaranteed Maximum Price approved by commissioners February 11. Chasco Constructors is the contractor for the project.
