ROCK celebrates extraordinary women at upcoming brunch

Ride on Center for Kids is hosting a special bruncheon for women with grit from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., November 5.

The first-ever “Courage & Grit” Cowgirl Bruncheon is an inspirational event for women in the area, with speakers from throughout the Georgetown business community.

The emcee for the day is Cowboy Hall of Famer Patti Colbert and the keynote speaker is Cowgirl Hall of Famer Dr. Eleanor Green. Guests can hear stories of Dr. Green’s experiences as a female pioneer within the equine industry.

The event includes brunch, wine, raffles, the keynote speech and a special table decorating competition. Attendees can decorate their tables prior to the start of the event and will be judged in different categories.

Funds raised from the bruncheon will go toward ROCK’s programs including therapeutic riding, ROCK On Veterans, equine-assisted learning programs for schools and individuals, as well as physical therapy and speech therapy incorporating equine movement.

The event takes place in the Merlin Hoppe Arena located at 2050 Rockride Lane. A limited number of sponsorships and tables are available for the event starting at $500 and can be purchased by visiting ROCK’s website at rockride.org.
