City to host riverbank cleanup November 12

Help keep Georgetown tidy during an upcoming riverbank cleanup hosted from 9-10 a.m., November 12, in Rivery Park, 1125 Woodlawn Avenue.

Volunteers can check into the event at 8:30 a.m. that morning. Check-in, as well as a safety briefing with cleanup instructions, takes place at the white tent set up near the park playground. Participants must fill out a waiver, which is available at the event and online at https://records. georgetown.org/Forms/WR_Vol.

Cleanup materials, such as trash bags and gloves, will be provided, as well as light snacks and drinks. Participants should wear appropriate clothing such as long pants, hats, sunglasses and closed-toe shoes.

Participants can park for free at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center garage, 1101 Woodlawn Street. The event may be canceled as a result of bad weather.
