Let’s start working on energy solutions
A recent letter titled “Various clean energy remedies do not work” starts and ends with truths: “We all care about the environment,” and “We must work together.”
However, in between, the writer ignores positives and hints that we should just give up because we can’t fix the problem immediately.
First, he says it will be costly, so we should wait. How often does “waiting” get anything done?
Then he says there are “no options” to replace fossil fuel in ships, planes, locomotives and trucks. There already are, however, options that work.
Then he worries about “inflation, supply and demand.” What is the leading cause of inflation today? A lack of cheap “fossil fuel.”
So I ask, what are we waiting on? Let’s get to work.
