Snakes emerge with warmer temps
Central Texas is home to 15 species of venomous snakes, any of which might make an appearance on a hike or around the area. As temperatures warm, snakes become more common.
The four most likely to be seen in Williamson County are Copperheads, Cottonmouths — also known as Water Moccasins — rattlesnake species and Coral Snakes.
