Florence Education Foundation awards check to teacher

    Florence Independent School District Education Foundation Board members presented Florence Elementary School teacher Sarah Stephens with a $250 check Wednesday morning.

    Selected by Superintendent Rick Kirkpatrick as part of the Teacher of the Month program, Ms. Stephens may use the funds to purchase materials for her classroom. 

    Teacher of the Month is one of several ways the Education Foundation provides additional educational materials for the benefit of Florence ISD students. Founded in 2007, FEF is a nonprofit organization aimed to fundraise for the schools in Florence ISD.
