An error in the October 8 edition of the Sun led to the publishing of property tax rates instead of information about a proposed sales and use tax for Emergency Service District 8.
The tax item that will be on the November ballot is not related to the property tax, and would be a new 2 percent sales and use tax for ESD 8. The tax will provide a new source of revenue for the district.
