Hunters celebrate 60 years

Judi Branson and Mike Hunter and  were married Oct 19, 1963 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur, Illinois, by Judi’s father, Rev. Tom Branson.  It was his first wedding ceremony and she his oldest child so it was quite emotional.  

Mike was in the Army stationed at the White House so they lived in Alexandria, Virginia.  After his discharge he went to work for IBM in Springfield, Illinois, until he was transferred to Austin, Texas, in 1981.  

Judi was court reporter for Circuit Judge J. Waldo Ackerman until she retired into motherhood in 1976.  Mike retired from IBM in 2002 after 37 years.  Judi retired as legal assistant at the City of Georgetown in 2002. 

They have enjoyed living in their hacienda in Serenada the past 42 years and roadtripping the USA. They have a son Sean and wife Jen of Kyle, Texas, and four spoiled female felines.
