Cool down at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice
New business opens in Georgetown
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has brought its signature cold treats and soft serve ice cream to Georgetown, and opened a new location at West University Avenue on August 20.
“I thought Georgetown was the perfect place to open a [Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.]” Franchisee Allison Stubbs said. “The town really espouses family values and there are a lot of places to hang out with your kids.”
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice was started by Jeremy Litwack in Florida 28 years ago. The business serves soft ice cream, gelati and Italian ice. The “flavorites” on the menu are layered frozen treats that incorporate soft serve ice cream and Italian ice with toppings. Customers can build their own layered or they can order off the menu.
According to Ms. Stubbs, the most popular flavors are Oreo Mud Pie and Strawberry Shortcake. Some other menu offerings include the Key West Sunset, the Grasshopper, Frosted Animal Cracker and the PB&J.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is located on 505 West University Avenue and is open from noon to 10 p.m. The business also offers catering.
