Georgetown council contracts more water for city

Secures 16.5 million gallons per day

Georgetown has secured a new potable water supply to serve future residents. 

City council Monday, December 30, entered into a contract with utility company GateHouse Water, LLC that would bring 18,500 acre-feet per year – about 16.5 million gallons per day – from the Simsboro Aquifer to Georgetown.
